And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid

It's quite sad that between text-messaging and instant-messaging, your words can be stripped down to a bare minimum with little to no meaning behind them. All because you're afraid of coming on to strong or saying the wrong thing. 

Perhaps it's good though, you get the chance to think twice before saying something.
